Registration Manager: The Registration Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Maho Bay and Harmony front desk. Daily duties include: registering and orienting guests upon their arrival; maintaining effective and positive communication with all departments; accurately managing payment of guest bills, resolving guest concerns, answering telephone calls and routing them appropriately; maintaining inventory of maps, guidebooks, and displays for guest. During the off-season daily duties also include taking over the Activities department. The manager is also responsible for managing tent and studio assignments for guests, training new registration staff, monitoring and verifying weekly shift schedules, updating departmental procedures in registration department manual, utilizing creative problem solving strategies to resolve guest concerns, providing emergency shift coverage when a staff member is unavailable or ill, providing support in the event that a staff member becomes overwhelmed, and being available for contact in the event of after-hours registration issues.
Maintenance Staff: Full time year round, 35 - 40 hrs week. Applicant should possess a strong work ethic, be able to work in high heat and humidity, handle stair climbing with a load, be attentive to detail and work well independently as well as with a team. Experience in any of the following areas preferred: carpentry, plumbing, electrical. Maho provides an hourly wage, subsidized meals, and free housing. Maho Bay & Estate Concordia Cook: Permanent full-time position (5 days a week, 40+ hours) available at both Maho and Concordia. This is a position for a strong serious candidate with multiple (2-4) years and a vast knowledge of the culinary world. Candidate will be responsible for developing menu entrees and also following standard menu items. This position will be working in a high heat, high stress, quantity-based kitchen closely with others preparing a large volume of meals. Applicants must be team players 18+ years of age, able to lift 50 lbs, people friendly and able to be on feet 8 to 10 hours, as well as have a positive attitude, high energy, retail and culinary experience and an ability to handle high stress and volume situations. Desired skills and attributes include: knife skills, self-motivated, communication and creative. Maho provides an hourly wage, subsidized meals and free housing.
