Concordia Eco-Tents
The newest of our sister resorts on St. John has amenities that combine simplicity with the most up to date, sustainable and site sensitive technologies that are redefining ecotourism.
The Eco-Tents and Estate Concordia Studios are on adjacent properties on St. John, USVI about 25 minutes from Maho Bay by rental car over well paved hillside roads. Breathtaking vistas of the incomparable Caribbean are commonplace from these comfortable dwellings.
Located on the dramatic southeastern side of St. John, these high-tech structures provide our guests with comforts for the body and soul. These are some of the most spectacular surroundings for which the USVIs and St. John are well known. The "eco-tents" are similar to the tent cottages of Maho Bay Camps. They provide more creature comforts and conveniences with private toilets, showers, solar energy and more elaborate kitchen facilities in each unit. We have recently added more units of which
5 offer wheelchair access.
Five or six adults can sleep on twin beds and a queen-size daybed. The dining area and large screened windows allow nature lovers to be as close to St. John's flora and fauna as possible without actually sleeping outside.
This side of St. John has some of the most beautiful scuba diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean which can be arranged through the Maho Bay's Water Sports Center. Many other water sports and leisure activities are also available at Maho.
Our new Cafe Concordia, open during high season, offers spectacular ocean views and an informal dining atmosphere. Specialties include Mahi Mahi, Salmon, NY Steak, chicken & vegetarian entrees. A wide selection of rum drinks, wine and beer as well as island-style deserts are available. Hours of operations change during low-season for many businesses, including ours. The Concordia Store is well-stocked with food and beverages for guests provisioning for meals or snacks. And our new Meeting Pavilion enables guests to participate in yoga classes, enjoy special evening entertainment options, and provides workshop space for groups. Other restaurants, groceries, casual shopping, local entertainment, water sports and island tours are a pleasant 10 minute drive to Coral Bay or 40 minutes to Cruz Bay (where ferries connect to St. Thomas).
After 30 years of pioneering research and experimentation, we continue to provide a positive, educational ecotourism experience for our guests on St. John while furthering the principles of profitable, environmentally sensitive tourism.

Accessible Eco-Tents
We have recently added more units of which 5 offer wheelchair access. We also offer 'easy access' tents closer to the roads - please contact us when you are planning your stay. Our Accessibility Handbook (PDF) contains information on transportation and activities to assist visitors with a wide range of physical disabilities.
Rates For Concordia Eco-Tents
December 15, 2009 - April 14, 2010:
- $155 / night, double occupancy. Standard eco-tent.
- $185 / night, double occupancy. Premium eco-tent.
- Additional guests in the same unit $15 / night / person.
April 15, 2010 - December 14, 2010:
- $105 / night, double occupancy.
- Additional guests in the same unit $15 / night / person.
- Families enjoy the "Kids Stay Free" program for children under 16, when accompanied by an adult.
A seven night minimum stay is required ONLY during the holiday periods of:
- Christmas — Arrival or departure dates anytime during the period Dec. 24, 2009 - Jan. 3, 2010.
- President's Week — Arrival or departure dates anytime during the period Feb. 14 - 22, 2010.
- Easter — Arrival or departure dates anytime during the period March 27 - April 5, 2010.
